“It’s Art Baby” 2018SITABS (situational absurdity) A compressed expression of madness ensuing from explorations of arts education theory and art practice within a contemporary gallery. The film was fathomed as a sitcom pilot exploring misunderstanding as a form of arts education, but as edited by Arzu Saglam (co-maker) became a nugget of it’s own absurdity. History of project 2013 – Started writing “It’s Art Baby” as part of Arts Education Masters Thesis mentored by Carmen Moersch. 2016 – Created a 45 minute draft verison of the pilot with Arzu Saglam, exhibiting our work in progress at Kallio Kunsthalle, Helsinki. 2018 – A & a conclude the project with the experimental 15 minute edit above.
